Decide
verb - come to a resolution in the mind as a result of consideration.
Dedicate
verb - devote (time, effort, or oneself) to a particular task or purpose.
This time of year is a mess. Holiday money pits, weight gain, spiritual dissonance and time management often feels like drowning.
Although Jan 1 can be a helpful step off for those who struggle with when to start, we can start at any moment. Waiting for Jan 1 to take action is a trap many of us fall into. The next trap? Failing to decide and dedicate.
So here is one more holiday season gift for you, the gift of accountability and growth.

Step 1: Pre decision: (24 hours)

Procedure: (Action steps)
You will decide on a clear theme for 2024.
What is the absolute best thing you could fix, change or invite into your life this year?
Write this down!
Areas I need to make decisions on: finances, relationship, career, material, fitness, spirituality, acts of service, home, vacation, etc...
Some decisions are as simple as choosing and living by the decision. Others need more planning. My suggestion? Plan the hard and live the simple.
Step 2: Post decision (10 minutes)
You will set a goal to have achieved by the end of this quarter. DO NOT OVER THINK IT! Analysis paralysis is a very real thing.

The longer you wait the less time you have!
Optional: vision board, journaling the outcome in advance, identifying challenges and preventing predictable failures.
Step 3: (Plan it)
The plan is often the most challenging part.
So you’re committed to a theme and you have even picked some goals, yet, there is still the biggest challenge of all..
“How do I get it done?”
Heres the secret… stop asking "how" questions and start asking "what " and "why" questions. What is the next best thing you could do? Why do you care to accomplish it? What are you willing to do?
Ask yourself.
What should your daily actions be? Weekly?
What does the frequency of your effort look like?
What small goals could you set on the way to your big goal? What people are in proximity to you who can help?
Tip: dont set the bar so high. Set achievable goals right outside your comfort zone and some that are sure bets. This helps you to maintain discipline and find wins along the way.
Here is a simple outline of what your plan could look like…

Step 4: (do the work!)
Tip 2: team up, take criticism, apply action to feedback, keep moving daily.
You get to choose if you will set the focus on accepting your share of responsibility, and working towards a life which is by your own design, or if your focus will be on taking inventory of another person’s faults, as you perceive them. Forgive yourself so you can forgive others and others will forgive you also.
i know how difficult, consuming and disheartening life can be at times and It is my ultimate hope that this commission effort will help you feel more purpose in your everyday walk. Help is always here for those who seek it.

This quarter we focus on the power of holding others capable. This is easily confused as accountability however accountability is the ability to account for actions. Since when is it our jobs to take other peoples accounts for them? Capability focuses on what can be achieved and lives in support. “I believe you can.” And better yet, “because I believe you can i will help make sure you will.” Capability isn't about pretending things are better than they are and it certainly isn't about placating. Its about mutual acknowledgment of POINT A and point b and refusing to lose belief in the person. It is also the understanding that its not your job to make sure they do. it's theirs.
Offense towards someone's lack of achievement is almost always an attempt to hold them accountable. to punish them with guilt and embarrassment.

Capability Challenge!
Buddy up and run a 45 day Gauntlet. its simple:
- partner up with someone
- create a mental, Physical or Spiritual commission.
Set at least 1 goal to be obtained within your 45 day time frame.
Set 3 objectives to help achieve your goal.
Share your timeline and your goal.
- Take action daily
Every day you will:
Read, exercise, pray/meditate, check your finances and take at least one action towards your commission. - Hold yourself accountable
every day you will check in on marco (30 seconds or less) and update your progress. - Hold others capable
Be a support source. a beacon.
check in with those who aren't checking in.
ask them what they aspire to accomplish and how you can help.
Hold on to a belief that it can be done always! Share that with others.
